Grands Jours de Bourgogne

Recently Nikki and I attended the famous wine trade fair, GJB, in Beaune. 5 days of grueling work, tasting 500 wines over 5 days. Well, somebody has to do the dirty work, so all of you can benefit :-)

Here I am plugging along, at 10am on Day One - Chablis. All pics were taken by ace photographer Nikki, doing her best to capture life, when I keep still and stop making sudden movements
On the previous Saturday, upon arrival, we ate at Bissoh and had a marvelous Francois Raveneau 1er Cru Les Forets, to accompany a fabulous japanese meal. The owners of the restaurant have one of the best wine lists in Beaune.

This Domaine de Pisse-Loup was quite tasty, and their village Chablis was indeed excellent.
The Chablis event was in a huge tented area, and it was quite crowded.
Domaine Barat was classic Chablis, and a good example of the appellation.
