a little tour of nyc

Went touring around nyc with my parents. We had fun. Went to Soho, with b'fast at b'thzar, and then up to F'iron for lunch at Eat'illy
Started off @ Wash Sq Pk early early ...
Then some hardware stores on Spring street for Dad
Then breakfast @ B'th'Zar
Then a look at britain's best selling butter :-)
Rear of Dean and DeLuca building, while flowers were being delivered, and prepped for resale at outrageous prices inside Dn'DL
Then typical Soho interaction, without the air kissing
Then a look for some greeting cards @ Kate's Paperie
Eataly ended up as being our last stop
Drinking some nice Tuscan stuff
The address is one block away from here and well worth a visit

Karl. I live in sOho. We actually practice air kissing after hours so those women didn't feel expert enough yet to do it publicly. I also actually often have breakfast at Baltzar as it used to be the only place open in the neighborhood before 10am. At that time they have a small menu of soft boiled eggs and breads. And I also buy flowers at Dean and Delucca and know Georgio d who is a bit of a skank. Furthermore that is my local hardware store, what the hell could your father find in there, oh wait was he visiting from the home country? Perhaps what seems like a microscopic hardware store in US terms is good size in Ireland. Best, Yale

Yes, he was visiting from IRL. A few years back, he was in a Home Despotic, for the first time, all the way out at Riverhead LI, and he proudly put his choice purchases at the counter, for the checkout girl to tally up, and she said to him "oh my, we have found ourselves some nice toys to play with, haven't we?". It was the highlight of his trip. I forget what he found .... a chisel, maybe some sort of newfangled screwdriver or drill bit .... but he was like a kid in a candy store .... :-)
